An open playing day for recorder players who would like the experience of playing with a recorder orchestra.

This is an all-day extravaganza, so bring all your recorders (and your recorder-playing friends) and enjoy a great day. We can promise a fine selection of music for everyone's taste.
The day’s programme will include :
Handel : Concerto Grosso Op 6 No 1
Mozart : Overture to The Magic Flute
Steve Marshall : Rhapsody for Bassoon and Recorder Orchestra with soloist Nick Epton
Paul Clark : Variations on Scarborough Fair
Bring a music stand, a pencil, water and a packed lunch and we’ll do the rest. Doors open at 9.30 for coffee. Playing starts at 10.00.
The community centre has great facilities, is easily accessible, has excellent free parking and there’s even an on-site Co-op convenience store in case you forget your lunch!
